Alright Dynamite Adds

I've been listening to the latest offering from Kendel Carson on Train Wreck Records titled "Alright Dynamite" for the last few days. I'm just now getting around to adding some tracks to the CAR playlist. Another cute Canadian? What's in the water up there? I don't know but I'll have me a glass!

The tracks I'll be adding are Oh Baby Lie Down, Seven Shadows On My Golden Roses, Jesse James, Mercedes Benz (yes the Joplin track but done in a very Shaver/Shooter Jennings way), Submarine & Mexico.

The disc features Chip Taylor and I also noticed Bryan Owings who I believe did some drumming with Will Kimbrough a while back. It is good music for people who know the difference so enjoy.

Earl Pickens & Family Adds

I got a pretty cool disc in the mail recently. It is a roots remake of U2's The Joshua Tree. The band is Earl Pickens & Family and they appear to hail from Lewisburg, PA. I don't know if they are PA Dutch and ain't got much but the disc is pretty tasty. So tasty in fact that I am adding 6 tracks to the Cosmic American Radio playlist later today. The tracks will be I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With Or Without You, Red Hill Mining Town, Trip Through Your Wires & what I guess is a bonus track since it is not listed on the disc jacket - Sweetest Thing.

Listen for OCMS sounding versions of this classic album and you will have found Earl Pickens & Family. I'm pretty sure CAR listeners will enjoy these tracks. Thanks for listening.
